Aside from the easy accessible beaches you can go to in Portugal and that most people know of, there are also the less popular and the less accessible ones. As a common rule with most things in life, the road to these beaches is quite long and hard, but the destination takes anyone’s breath away. We mean these two great secluded beaches in Portugal:
1. Praia da Ribeira do Cavalo
Take a car and drive the road to Sesimbra, find the nearest parking place to the beach. Fom there, it will take you half an hour of trekking to arrive (another alternative is going by boat). Once you’re there facing the sea, you’ll feel like you reached paradise and the tropical colour of the water will invite you to jump in right away.
2. Praia da Ursa
This beach is another paradise and the descending part is even sweatier. It is located in the natural park of Sintra-Cascais, very close to Cabo da Roca. Tip: take a pair of good shoes and a blouse in case it gets windy or chilly (it can happen, as Sintra is a microclimate area).
