Recently we attended a quite unique event in Lisbon. The concept is perfect for everyone who loves stories and loves Lisbon most of all. It is undeniably our kind of event.
There are tours where you can explore Lisbon visually, and then there are other kind of tours, the ones that allow you to explore Lisbon imaginarily. They are not excluding one another, quite the contrary. So if we were tourists, we’d probably opt for strolling around Lisbon, then cool off in Alfama while exploring the narrow cobblestone streets, just to end up at Lusitano Clube to delight ourselves with stories about the lady on seven-h(ee)lls. What a feast, wouldn’t you say so?

What we are talking about is a project called Lisbon StorySailors that comes to meet a voyageur’s desires for good stories, good food, good wine and good music. Initiated by four humorists, the two-hours event will embark you upon various journeys through Lisbon’s history, while enjoying a glass of wine, exquisite Portuguese food, accompanied by the sounds of a Portuguese fado guitar. The setting , Lusitano Clube, also played a huge role in making the guests feel at home. Yet the group performs in various other places across Lisbon.
