The story starts millions of years ago when two ferocious volcanoes erupted and left behind fragile volcanic rocks which in time, got eroded due to harsh weather. The result was and still is breathtaking. From there on, men have build their cave houses, churches, monasteries and underground cities (some of which are still undiscovered).
April. We knew April was a good choice, because I (Diana) love flowers and fancied from the very beginning the idea of tullips spreading their colors and charm all over the city.
Half-awake. The tram takes us to Sultanahmet. Yellow. Hearts start beating faster. Blue. My hands start tapping. Red. I need my camera. On. Click.click.click. Tullips everywhere, just like we dreamed about it.
To lay our eyes on Nazaré from its cliff is something we could do every weekend – that’s how much we love the city….plus, the amazing fresh fish and seafood dishes on every restaurant’s menu. 🙂 Continue reading

Our first reaction when we arrived at Jardim da Tapada das Necessidades was: Cannot believe this park has been missing from our list of weekend promenades! It comes to no surprise that OutJazz has chosen it as a preferred setting to stage jazz concerts.
It would be less effective to talk about the Gulbenkian Museum without having a few words about the man behind this treasure.
Walking our 4-feet best friend, Asta, is one of our favorite activities that goes hand in hand with exploring new and old sites.
We love Spring! Not that we don’t equally love the other seasons, but there’s something….flourishing about this time of the year.
It is a season of restart and of getting your creativity boosted by nature’s green and blossom.
